"I made reservations today @bistr09 and we were the only ones sitting on their covered patio. Happy hour is until 6pm. I had the French Martini and my husband had the Mai Tai. We started off sharing the Country Pate. I had 2 Beausoleil oysters. My husband had the Lobster Salad. Dad and I shared the Grilled Quail & Risotto. I had a piece of my husband's Duck Breast and wild rice. The food quality is always consistent. Always a great experience and we had Ray serving us again. If you haven't visited before, you should stop by soon!"

"This is a high end restaurant. As such, it does not measure up. Service is excellent. Decor is good, cleanliness is excellent. Food is hit and miss. Appetizer was excellent, main course, Pheasant, was a disappointment and the dessert, well... Let's just say I've made that same recipe out of Eating Well magazine and I make it much better. The mousse was fine, the berries were frozen and the cookie was burnt. Cocktail was okay. $220 for that. Nope. Skip it and skip it hard. You can get a lot more for a lot less in this town."

"What a beautiful experience. The blue point oysters brought my sleepy soul back to life, the dressing was absolutely scrumptious with the natural brine of the oysters. Bubbles were served cold and kept on ice. The Blanc de Blanc was delightful. The hostess and waiter were kind. I'd definitely come back for the Seared Foiegras with Apple and Duck Confit. My companion enjoyed their Grilled Quail with Parmesan Risotto and was also very impressed with Bistr09. If you are looking for a dinning experience to impress in San Antonio, Texas this French spot is my top recommendation."
