"The pork chops were great! I came in on a Saturday early evening at 5:30 and the place was still fairly empty. I ordered the pork chops and subbed in the green beans. My waiter was a very vivacious young woman, but it took forever to get things. I was dining by myself and ordered water along with a strawberry peach frozen drink. My water was delivered, then I kept waiting for my drink, my server was waiting on other tables as the place was starting to get busy. My food was delivered and my server had to go and track down my bar order. This being said, the chops were perfectly cooked and had a very good flavor. The two veggies, mashed potatoes and green beans were plated with the green beans placed on top of the potatoes, rendering both messed up and had no distinguishing flavors. Please pass on the aesthetic and plate food without putting everything on top of each other. When I was ready to leave, it took forever to get my server back to me, she brought my bill and collected my card. Then my card rode around in her apron pocket for another 10 minutes while she took and served other orders, went to the bar to collect orders, and other things. Honestly, when I hand over my cc, either run it at the table on a handheld device, or run it immediately and bring it back to me. I don't like having it walking all over the restaurant. It took me 90+ minutes to have a solo dinner that should have been no longer than an hour."
"It’s a little unfair to give 5 stars to only this location because I visit the Broadway and the Rim locations and the experience is the same. Let me try to explain….have you ever tried a dish and then from the start that’s your new favorite? Well it doesn’t matter what I try here it’s the same experience. My favorite. So although I’ve been to Stone Werks about 20 times and if it’s for dinner I have the ribeye and I always have it because it’s my favorite; why change. If it’s lunch I have the Steak Big Rock Nachos or the Flat Bread either together or one of them because they are my favorite. If I’m real hungry I’ll have the ceaser salad because it’s my favorite. So what I’m saying is I’ve never moved off of these dishes because they were my favorites from day one so why would I. It gave me no need to look back at the menu. How many restaurants can do that?? I can’t think of any but this one. So maybe they just have the same taste as me but my wife agrees and we like completely different foods so I think they just are hitting. Hands down my favorite restaurant. Service is great. Atmosphere is great. Food is great. I honestly would not give this kind of review if it wasn’t true. Today my server was Ian. As always I was very happy with the service. Thank you ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️"
"The house cut ribeye for 3499 was incredibly disappointing. It was thin overcooked I was incredibly detailed and specific about how I wanted it cooked. They still overcooked it I don’t send steak back I’m afraid they’ll spit on it or something. The waitress was very nice, but not very good, I will never come back to this place."
"When we walked in, both the dining and bar areas were busy. Because of this, I didn't concern myself about the amount of time it took to be greeted by the host. When she arrived, her greeting was functional and matter of fact. I charged this on the businesses of the restaurant. Once seated, the bright spot in this process was our waiter. I complimented his Movember Mustache. He was thoughtful and attentive to my family. The lemonade and fried pickles were outstanding. The artichoke dip was not as creamy as it usually is. I ordered the Red Snapper, and it was decently platted but had absolutely no flavor. My wife ordered the fish and chips because of how good it was the last time we ate here. This time, however, the batter was too salty to enjoy the meal. The waiter noticed that we'd stopped eating and asked how the meal was, and my wife told him. He comped my wife's meal. I told him I would still pay for mine because my dog loves fish. The manager came out and thanked us for the feedback and comped my wife's meal and mine. So we still paid for everything but the entries. I tip my hat to the crew. There are a lot of moving pieces necessary to make a restaurant work. The cooking and meal prep team is a center piece of that Herculean effort."
"Incredibly disappointed with the alleged “house cut” rib-eye steak for $34.99 and the soggy vegetables that came with. I’m even more disappointed with myself for not sending it right back to the kitchen and leaving. I’m really kicking myself for wasting so much money. The steak was a very poor cut and didn’t even present as a ribeye. The meat was not fresh, it was tough and chewy, lacked any flavor and was full of that sinewy fat that you can’t cut or chew through. It was just bad. It didn’t help matters that The “steamed” vegetables were dumped on the plate with all of the water and condensation they were steamed with so the meat and potatoes sat in a pool of liquid either. The waiter must have seen how unhappy I was but never asked me anything. I guess it was obvious and he wasn’t going to ask a question he didn’t want to know the answer to. With six kids, My wife and I don’t get to enjoy eating out alone in adult restaurants very much and it really sucks that the place we chose was such a big disappointment. Lesson learned, if you want steak then go to a steakhouse. This is Texas, you should never have to eat bad steak!"
