"This place is trash. The ladies are rude and entitled. They charge you for things without even telling you what is being charged - like you’re supposed to just take their word for it. Will never come back here to be treated the way they treated my family. AND we brought them business, never again."
"Prices are too expensive here. I believe the cashiers don’t add up the money correctly because it doesn’t make sense on how expensive the final price is. I ordered 1 Fideo Loco, 1 special with the tea & a Mexicana asada taco. It came out to almost $30. It seemed a bit expensive for not that many items and when I asked for a receipt all they gave me was a description of what I ordered and the total. No singular prices to see why it came out to so much. The day before that I got 1 Fideo loco, 1 asada a la Mexicana plate, 1 fajita quesadilla plate and 1 sweet tea. It came out to $40! And they didn’t even give me a receipt. I had tried calling to ask about their prices but when I asked the lady gave me attitude and didn’t want to respond. Instead she was saying well you can come to the restaurant and talk to the owners I’m very busy working by myself. Lady I’m just asking prices to know why my bill came out so expensive. She proceeded to tell me that I have to talk to the owners and that sometimes they’re not even there. So I asked well what are their names so I can ask for them and she said “I’m not authorized to tell you that”. the whole thing seemed so shady as if she was trying to hide something. I wouldn’t recommend coming here, they seem like workers that want to earn an extra buck from you. There’s other cheaper priced Mexican food around that are delicious in the area. It’s not fair that the cashiers try to make a fool out of you and try to charge you more than what it is. I’m still going to talk to the owners to make them aware of the situation. On the receipt I put “9.99” because that’s how much the Fideo loco is. That’s the only price that they were able to give me. When I asked for the rest of the prices the cashier started to get defensive and wouldn’t communicate with me anymore."
"Authentic!! Authentic!!!! Everything was perfectly seasoned very fresh as well!!!! Best queso in San Antonio!! Will be back! Excellent customer service!!"
"Despite on the lack of cleaning in the restaurant, the food itself is fresh! Not fast food! The chicken fajita tacos and enchiladas are delicious and not too pricey! Just needs improvement on the service, some of the waitresses don’t seem to communicate well with the English speaking folks since they only speak Spanish."
"I'm giving Santa Maria a 4 ☆ rating. (Almost a 5.) I hadn't been here since my wife worked for the family years ago. She left shortly after the tragic event of the young man's passing. Vincent was a great person, always super nice and friendly, as is the whole family. Back to my rating, I ordered the chilaquiles plate and it was served up hot and fresh. The food was plentiful and they didn't skimp on the portion. I paid a good price for a great meal. Tortillas were soft, warm, and good. My chilaquiles were hot, my papa's were a little tepid, and the beans were a good consistency. Coffee was a little too dark for my taste but, I was given extra cream to lighten it up. I took some.tacos to go and they were 2 tacos for $2.75 I think. The waitress was on the money and I was satisfied. I shall return, lots of memories at this place. I posted pictures of my food and of my menu. Come out and give it a try."
