"Love lubys when they are on point but this is ridiculous, the several times my family and I have dined in we always see this girl serving food for drive thru. I've worked in food service and if you serve food you are not aloud to have fake nails and this much jewelry on with the exception of a wedding band. Am I the only one who finds this disgusting. Lubys needs to do better on enforcing policy cause this cannot be acceptable."

"Oh, how wish it would be a good visit, but everything was very unpleasant: to enter the service line you have to walk a long distance back and forth to get to a tray station and start an order; potato salad didn’t look fresh and crusted; hot items were not hot (including fish, broccoli and Mac and cheese); boiled potatoes didn’t have any flavor at all. Trays all cracked and chipped, so as plates; utensils old and tasted unpleasant. But the worst part was the male employee on the service line (young, very pale male with dark hair and old fashioned glasses): he was rude with other guests and me, worked sloppy and didn’t pay attention to the requests. I missed good old times when the employees were sweet and brought the sunshine to my day. Waste of time and money. Rude service and not tasty, cold food."

"When my sister in love suggested @lubys_249_sa for dinner, I thought there weren't any still open. Good to know that 1604 and Bandera have one. There was quite a line and so it's popularity hasn't waned. Glad they're getting a good crowd to keep its doors open. So many hot piping dishes to choose from! Dad and I shared the Grilled Tilapia with mashed potatoes, mac & cheese, cornbread, and a cup of chicken & rice soup. My husband had the Fried Fish with salad, mashed potatoes, roll, and corn. Good food and easy on the budget."

"Always a great spot for a great meal! Love that kids eat free on Saturdays, such a great deal for the amount of food you get! Customer service is always fantastic and the food is always fresh! Highly recommend!"
