Chili's Grill & Bar 5790 West Loop 1604 North, San Antonio, TX 78251

"I don’t like to give bad reviews… this one sat on my shoulders for a long time and I could not let it go. We visited Chili’s @ 5790 W. Loop 1604 in San Antonio on 06 October 2023. We frequent this location often because it’s close to home and usually pretty good. This particular evening somebody was obviously sleeping at the wheel. We choose a booth near the bar to have a drink. The drink was cold, tasted great and prepared properly. Initially we ordered the chips & salsa and that came out with lightening speed (very impressed). But next we ordered the Triple Dipper appetizer (cheeseburger sliders, mozzarella sticks and boneless wings). They were not busy that evening and it was around 10pm so I did not see any reason for our order to be delayed. We waited more than 30 minutes for an appetizer and when it arrived it was cold and did not look very appetizing. The cheese on the cheeseburger sliders was cold (not melted), the bread was hard and dry, the mozzarella sticks were warm and the boneless wings were cold. I know that it was not the waitress fault because she came to our table a couple times to check on us. After waiting so long we asked for the manager and showed him our unappetizing cold plate. He offered to have it prepared again, but we refused because we were ready to leave. Additionally, we asked for a side of pickles and there was something in there that did not belong there. What started out as a nice little pitstop to chill and have a relaxing evening turned into a pretty disappointing experience. As mentioned, I don’t like giving bad reviews but from looking at others reviews, management needs to know about unsatisfactory incidents like this so that they can make improvements."

"Went for lunch on a Saturday afternoon with my wife. There was a 20-minute wait when we got there, but that was no biggie to us because Chili's has always been good. We ordered our drinks and of course the Chips and Salsa. We got our drinks, I had also asked for Splenda for my unsweetened tea. We got all our drinks and chips and salsa but no sweetener. I almost got up to look for some sweetener because the other 2 had finished their drinks before the waiter had returned. We got our food and my wife had ordered the Avocado chicken sandwich and I ordered the big chicken sandwich. My wife got her sandwich and there was absolutely no avocado on the sandwich. We had to stop the manager to ask for the avocado. Our waiter didn't come back till later to check on us. We noticed that most of the dining room was empty so we didn't understand the horrible service. Also my wife ordered the Halloween drink and it looked nothing like the picture. I included the picture of the drink in this post. I really never had a bad experience at Chili's so this is a shock to me. It has always been a good experience at any of their restaurants. This was a disappointment."

"The fajita combo was delicious! I ordered chicken & shrimp. So tasty! Everyone loved their food & we enjoyed the ambiance."

"I orders 3 meals, all with fries, and an extra side of fries for my daughter. We did curbside and they were fairly quick. However, the extra set of fries was missing. There were 3 box meals, and one side box, so I assumed the fries were in each box, but they weren’t. Now I have to not only count the meals when I receive them, but take everything out to make sure my meal is correct? The receipt has everything highlighted but they obviously made a mistake. The food had no flavor, at least mine didn’t. The corn was flavorless and so we’re the new Nashville tenders. Supposedly hot, but you’re better off getting the honey-chipotle ones, at least in this place you are."

"The place was an nice environment with the family for my birthday.the waitress was awesome.all the food was good but only problem I had was I asked for a medium rare steak an got medium well to almost well.the kids enjoyed it so I would go back again."
