"It’s a new place so the inside is nice and new. The portion versus what you pay is extremely disappointing, I got the slice brisket and sausage combo and it came with literally one slice of dry brisket and it wasn’t even warm. The sausage portion was a bit small but ok. I don’t see this place lasting long, Springcreek is by far a better bbq restaurant."
"Outstanding! Never paid $50 for 1 rib before, but beef ribs are a rarity. It had a smoked peppercorn coarse salt outside and a juicy fall off the bone inside. The meat was so flavorful I didn't dare taint it with the sauce. If you must, then the house sauce is the only sauce worth trying. We all agreed, the Carolina sauce is equivalent to ketchup. The beef brisket was a close second favorite and significantly lower price. The bacon wrapped jalapeno with brisket and cheese was also smoked and I'd order again. Companion ordered the pulled pork and reported it was excellent, no comment on the sausage. The salad was dinner sized and the romaine lettuce was fresh, but ranch dressing was runny. The fried okra pieces were slightly larger than most bbq restaurants. The elote was okay, but would be better with fresh corn, not canned corn. The complimentary pickles, onions, and jalapenos had an unusual flavor, which I probably won't bother with again. The cream pie was reportedly good. The bartender, hostess, cashiers, servers, were very helpful and friendly. We did not have a wait before 5PM on Saturday. Clean restrooms, modern toilets and faucets that worked incredibly well. The rocking chairs need attention because someone reported the chairback was broken on one, and we were going to trade, but then discovered the armrest was broken on the other. We loved the music, light, and water show from our table, and it added much to the overall experience. It would be nice if the restaurant music and the park's music were coordinated because two different songs were blaring at once, and then there'd be silence between sessions, but prefer silence over cacophony."
"The food is really good. All the meats are done very well. The sauce selection is small, but the 2 options are decent. I'm not a fan of the potato salad, IMHO. Onion rings, fried okra are good. I ordered the elote, which was a great side, just enough spice. The Shoestring fries are not my favorite. The service was really good and the drinks are top notch. I do wish they had a kids menu or at least kid portions."
"The friendliness of the staff was great. The time between ordering and receiving the food was long. The BBQ sauces are not good. My turkey and brisket were cold as soon as I received them. Unfortunately, they were already out of ribs shortly after opening. The queso was delicious. But the beans are a complete miss. Overall, the taste of the food versus the price doesn't warrant another visit at this time. I think I'll wait a while and let them hit their peak and try it again and see if things have improved."
