Reggae Hut

"I purchased a plate of oxtail dinner from the reggae hut once getting it home and tasting the food. It was really salty. Call the restaurant back to let them know about the food was salty and that could I get another plate they stated bring the plate back and they’ll give me another one never in my life have a establishment. Ask someone to bring food back, to the establishment and throw it away it really doesn’t make sense horrible customer service and for $45 for someone to give you three oxtails and then the food was horrible. I would not eat here at this establishment. I wouldn’t waste my time spending money at this kind of establishment"

"Hidden Gem and Local Historical Caribbean restaurant is located on the main stride of Almeda Road. The food here is definitely sure to savor your tastebuds if flavor and spice are your preference. Restroom areas are available, stocked, and clean. The staff are very welcoming and informative about the menu and area. Free street parking is available, usually not a problem on most days. Located near other restaurants and food trucks, on a holiday or event weekend, the traffic definitely thickens. Location often has live entertainment."

"Great food and super friendly customer service. Enjoyed my curry goat, so tender and flavourful, rice and peas and callaloo. Portions were very generous. Would definitely return next time I'm in Houston."

"I came here because I saw some reviews. Let me tell you that this was even better than the reviews! I was in there eating like a little fat kid swinging my legs eating! Everything was so flavorful, hot & tender. I had the jerk chicken & I wanted more, but I was too full. We also had curry goat & it was tender too. The rum punch was my favorite drink. The only problem that we had was that we didn't have another stomach to put more stuff in. Lmbo. The staff were also very friendly. We talked about all different types of subjects. This will be visited when we come back! Great job!"

"The food and service was really good. We got the brown snapper and it comes with rice and a veggie mixture. Large portions. My boyfriend and I shared and still had left overs. We also got a veggie patty, rum punch, and plantains. I gave 4 out of 5 star just because I wish the plantains were made fresh to order and the interior of the shop needs to be updated but overall I still had a great experience."
