"My husband took me here for a breakfast date. The food was great the service was impeccable and it has a small town feel for being in town. The restaurant was a little cool, but I think that is because they are trying to save some money on it. I would highly recommend this little gem, don't judge it till you've tried it. It will surprise you once you come in. I had the huevos rancheros, and my husband had country fried steak, we shared the pecan waffle."
"I was so disappointed after seeing the ratings. This place had to see how run down and the lights were flickering and I have seizure disorder so I ended up having to leave before my meal was even finished. But I'm going to upload pictures to show you just how how bad it was. I ordered the chicken and waffle. The chicken stole the show. The waffle was cardboard, I ordered the biscuits and gravy which they told me was house made and I think that they just meant that they actually just made it in the house. Not that they made it from scratch. They were flat pasty and I'm pretty sure the gravy came from a packet. I cannot in good conscience recommend this place unless you are just coming around for hangover food. The service was okay. The coffee was mid but if you like chicken tenders that was the best part about the entire meal. My wife and my friend both got the french toast. One got stuffed. The other one got normal. Both of them were undercooked, the stuffed version was just store-bought cream cheese shoved in the middle. Just not a good look."
"The “stuffed” French Toast was awful. The “stuffing” was off the shelf flavored cream cheese. The custard wasn’t cooked and the bread was tough as leather. The biscuits and gravy was thick and gummy. The biscuits were flat and not fluffy. My friend had a side of gravy and turned it upside down. It stuck better than a DQ Blizzard! The ambiance was awful. Really dark cause they had blackout shade tint on their windows and their lights were flickering really bad. My friend had to leave early and go wait in the car because she was about to have a seizure. Let’s hope you’re a master of deciphering spelling errors. Their menu obviously was not run through spell check before publishing. How many ways can you spell “steak?” Apparently at least three. I absolutely cannot recommend this place in good conscience."
"The Broken Egg Cafe was so worth the drive. Restaurant was packed on a Saturday morning. Picture is only part of their breakfast menu. The seasoning & grill flavor on the pork chops & eggs was perfect, with a side of toast & potatoes. The meat omelette with chorizo added was packed & too big to finish. The biscuits & gravy taste like your favorite grandmas old recipe. Staff was so friendly. Compliments to the gentleman at the front counter. & to the older gentleman asking people how their food was. Waitress could have been a little more accommodating but we were ok with it since they were packed & the food made up for it. Can’t wait to return to try other breakfast items & try their lunch menu. And of course to bring more family next time. Luckily we got an extra meal with our to go boxes. Returned to Broken Egg Cafe. Love the delicious taste of home cooking. Everything so fresh. The breakfast bowl perfectly grilled with eggs, potatoes, bacon, sausage & cheese. Food is worth the wait. Will definitely keep returning. Waitress is so friendly & great at her job."
"Really great place. Got sat as soon as we walked in. Not to expensive and the food was good. The brown gravy was a little too thick. But overall, it's a good place to eat."
