"Where do I start. My family has been going to Mary Lou's for many years. The best tortillas anywhere. Family recipe that can't be beat. The carne guisada is so tender. Enchiladas are delicious. Breakfast , lunch , or dinner. This place is just fabulous food. You can go spend your money on the big names throughout San Antonio but the quality of the food doesn't come close to what you will get here. They serve margaritas and other beverages. I love the Southside location but they also have another on McCullough. Same quality of food at both locations. They are just that good they had to expand. The service is just as good as the food. You won't regret it and you will become a regular customer too."
"Great food, everything we've had had been very good."
"Not terrible food, but the quality has dropped dramatically since new management/ownership took over. Use to go often for breakfast, but the last 2 times I’ve gone within this month.. the carne Guisada wasn’t bad, lacked flavor and gravy seemed a bit watery. I would not recommend the bacon and egg tacos as each time I’ve ordered them, it’s been dry bacon (jerky consistency) with cold over cooked eggs. Overall I would not recommend and will be finding another spot for breakfast tacos."
"Worst heartburn food ever. Went here with coworkers for lunch. Waited 50 minutes for food, asked to get it to-go waited longer. We were all charged 18% gratuity. Didn’t even ask for a refill until the very end yet waitress made at least $20 tip. Cashier was rude saying well it was almost ready. Paid took it Togo but will never return. Beware just saying"
"I hadn't been here since Pre-Covid. The carne guisada was what I came for. The taco didn't disappoint. The potato and egg was good. I had a 32 oz iced tea in a to go cup. The total bill was at about: $9.93. This place remains expensive for 2 tacos and a to go tea. Will I come back? Probably during the next pandemic. Nah, just kidding, just not anytime soon."
