"This was our second time coming here. I’m so happy San Antonio finally has a good place to get fresh pasta and quality Italian food! Everything we had here was delicious, but this trip when they were setting down our plates my sister immediately noticed a long curly hair in her kale salad and told the waiter. They were very apologetic and went to bring a new salad right away. Not even a minute later the manager came and profusely apologized and said dessert would be on the house. In the end, the salad was comped but not the dessert but that’s okay it was great anyway! The hair is why the 4 stars, instead of 5, but I’m happy they took it very seriously and rectified the mistake quickly. My husband says even in the nicest restaurants that’s bound to happen every once in awhile. All the dishes we had were standouts: the white truffle garlic bread, calamari, chicken pesto pasta, ricotta cavatappi and seasonal butter cake. We will not be returning to this location because of how they’ve handled this situation since this review in January. It’s March and they haven’t followed through with what the manager said they’d do. In response to owner response: I went to the website provided and filled out the form. The general manager contacted me on Feb 6 but when I responded back on the 9th I haven’t heard a response back since. Update on March 1: took off another star because I have followed up via e mail with the manager and he still hasn’t responded since Feb 6. I wasn’t expecting it but after I filled out the original form (as requested after this review) he emailed me to apologize and said he was going to send a gift card and never did. I’m not a fan of saying you’ll do something and not being true to your word. It probably would’ve been better if he didn’t contact me and make that promise, at least there wouldn’t have been an expectation. Poor customer service with no follow through. While I love the food here, I’ll go to the Austin or other locations."
"Really good, the picture doesn't do it justice. I got the spicy meatball pizza, excellent flavor, texture, everything. Just over all good little pizza. The establishment itself has a great ambience and felt very comfortable while our waitress was on top of her game and was extremely attentive, I drink a lot of water and she made sure my glass was never empty. 10/10 would go again"
"Very nice place, it was busy. There is a green play area right in front of the restaurant for the kids. I only ordered appetizers … the calamari is heavily breaded. The sauce that it came with was pretty good though. The burrata plate is not worth the price. The burrata itself was runny and it comes spread on three small slices of bread. We also ordered a burger from the kids menus for my son. He enjoyed it, but it took them about 50 min to make. The manager did fine and apologize for how long the order took."
"First time! I don’t remember our servers name but he gave pretty great recommendations when we weren’t sure what we wanted to try. The Shrimp Scampi appetizer was my favorite! The shrimp was perfectly cooked and the bit of sauce that it was cooked in was the perfect topping for the crispy, warm bread that came with it. (We were excited about it and forgot to take a picture before we dug in) The spicy rigatoni has the perfect amoint of spice and the Braised Short Rib Lumache has the most tender beef. Both were our favorites!"
"My friends who have already been here brought me for the first time and I loved it. Getting to substitute the pasta in my salmon dish for veggie pasta was a nice touch and delicious! The classic spaghetti and meat balls is also a must try. We’ll definitely come back again. The place is beautiful too. I can see it being a great date night spot. Oh, and my wife loved the sangria she ordered."
