La Bella Pizza, Lubbock 2112 50th Street, Lubbock, TX 79412

"So this is the 3rd time I've ordered pizza from La Bella's and so far my order has been wrong or unsatisfactory. The first time I ordered from there my pizza had all the wrong toppings on it. I couldn't call or take my order back since my order was the last one made before they closed. My second order was the lasagna pizza. I have ordered this pizza before from the La Bella's in Amarillo it was a amazing deep dish pizza layered with lasagna noodles ricotta cheese and Italian sausage. So with that thought in mind I placed my order. I had told my co workers of this amazing pizza that was about be delivered but to my surprise after it had been delivered I open the pizza box see a regular looking pizza with some funky looking lasagna noodles on top and big chunks of Italian thrown on there. I thought to myself they must of delivered the wrong pizza I know I didn't pay almost 40 dollars for this pizza to look like this. So I called to report the issue the lady that I spoke with told me that's the way it's always been made and there was nothing they could do about. So today I decided to give yall another try hoping that this 3rd order could redeem yall from the past 2 sucky orders. So I placed my order as I was leaving the Bahama Bucks off of 50th and Slide by the time I got to 50th and University I received a text informing me that my order was ready. So I pick up my order and place it in my trunk (cuz that's the only place that this pizza will fit in a normal sedan. So when I get home and open the box I see a 24 inch pizza that looks like it's been sitting under a heat lamp for hours. You can't even tell if there's any cheese on the pizza."

"I've had one issue with La Bella and it was due to some soggy calzones. Other than that, the service and pizza has been phenomenal every single time. The food is always fresh and delicious. The pizza toppings, cheese and sauce all taste great and come together to make a delicious pizza. One of my favorite local pizza joints."

"The pizza wasn't burned so it wasnt all bad, but it also wasn't cut all the way through. Good thing I had my pocket knife. No dressing for the salad. No help for that in a motel room. And "25 to 30 minutes" was a flat hour delivery time."

"The actual food was pretty spot on with the average score at the time of this review (3.9). The crust and dough was cooked through but not crispy, very slightly browned on the bottom. No complaints about the taste of the food, toppings were well placed and the cheese was good quality. Not the best pizza I've ever had but probably the best I've had in Lubbock. If all you care about is the quality of the food and don't care about the restaurant or their practices then stop here. Unfortunately I will not be coming here again or recommending this place to any of my friends due to the practices of the business and owner. You will see a sign that was put up in the restaurant by the owner making what he thinks is a funny joke about the current pandemic. As well, no one in the store wears a mask or social distances. The average number of new Covid cases in the city is rising and is now averaging 300 a day. My 6 month old daughter is immunocompromised and my Wife is in the at risk category. I do not find a flippant attitude towards a pandemic funny. This also makes me question the sanitation standards of a business that is run by someone that would publicly joke about this in their restaurant."
