"It's outside, so in the summer, it's hot, if it's raining, it's muddy, in the winter, it's cold...there's bugs, and birds, and on more than one occasion I've even been bothered by WILD rabbits and squirrels! Be mindful of the squirrels, when you park under the shade trees, the butter-pawed little theives will drop the Walnuts and Acorns on top of your car! The river sounds lovely, especially after a good rain, but DO NOT go in, if you're lucky enough to survive the water currents you ABSOLUTELY will come out with 2 heads and gills, no one knows what gets dumped in this river upstream, or over the last 100 years of this towns existence, and we've learned not to ask questions...but if you do by happenstance touch the water, be sure to visit the County Health dept for an updated tetanus shot. The playground equipment has been around for ages, and has seen many a flood, so I'm certain that your runnin amok children won't tear it down, but if they do...well, call the Street Dept and they'll come clean up whatever fell. The trashcans get emptied M-F, so if it's the weekend...bring noseplugs, and watch out for Trash Pandas(raccoons) they'll definitely be looking for a free meal, but don't spray the bees, there's more of them then there are of you, and I promise, you'll lose the war. I eat my lunch at this park every day, and despite the annoying critters littering up the grass, the fact that it's outside, the bugs, and the occasional risk of injury from falling trees...this park lost a star only to the fact that there's always other people there. You'd think it was a public place or something..."
"I used to play at Cooper's Park when I was a kid & now my kids have played here. I love this Park, it's a Beautiful location, The White River flows right alongside it, You can bring a pole for fishing, have a picnic or plan a Special Event like a Birthday party. They have a few electrical outlets so you can even charge your phone if you need."
"Close to the river but still a safe distance from the water. It's both beautiful and peaceful! A few playground areas for the kids and picnic areas for family gatherings."
