"Overall, a really nice golf course! The grass and the greens were in good shape, and the pace of play was great. Only gave it a 4 out of 5 stars because it is a little pricy"
"Staff Member Randy was just awful. He was rude and extremely off-putting. He was staring at my group on hole 9 as we putted for an eagle with his arms crossed and with an angry snear just waiting for our cart on a slow rainy afternoon. He immediately came up to get the cart with an intensity larger than most storms and would not even let us take our equipment or personal items to our vehicle. I even politely asked him to give us a few minutes and he declined with a very rude tone. He is a sad little man that needs to be terminated so people can enjoy their experience playing the beloved game of golf. Thanks Randy for ruining my experience at Rea Park. I will return when he is no longer employed by the course, which sucks because live close to this course and would pay to play all the time. Outside of my experience with the cursed employee Randy, the course is great! 1 star with Randy, 5 stars without! Randy is just the Worst!"
"This a well maintained course with lots of fun obstacles. BUT I was overwhelmed with the rude staff member Randy who followed our cart and would not allow us to clean out our equipment. We even asked him to give us a few minutes and he persisted to stand next to us and hover. His rudeness and awkwardness will stop me from ever playing this course again. We even played in the rain on a slow day with only a few other golfers. Its sad because I travel to Terre Haute quite often, and would play this course consistently. Thanks Randy for ruining the experience!"
"Unfortunately I wanted to enjoy this golf course but the disrespect my team and I received today on the golf course was enough to make me never want to play there again. Dave Kennedy is the golf professional there and he followed us several times and told us to skip holes and even play the beginner tee boxes to speed up our play. We paid a lot of money to play today and the last thing I was going to do was skip a hole. I am an avid golfer and have play many courses all over the world. I went to state all 4 years in high school. My teammates however, didn’t have that much experience playing golf and after today, I doubt they want to play again either. It was supposed to be a fun relaxing day but it turned into us “being nagged” for playing slow. In all fairness, it took us over 12 minutes to even find the correct hole we were starting at due to all of the tee boxes being poorly marked. The course was very outdated and the clubhouse was scary to even enter! Such a disappointing day that should have been fun!"
"A good public course that is maintained well. Grass driving range-300 yards with plenty of on most days. Putting green has adequate slopes and 5 hole locations. Chipping is allowed. Course layout makes playing enjoyable with challenging hole approaches. Club house is generic. Nothing fancy. I enjoy practicing and playing here. Reasonablly priced. I Recommend this course."
