"Called Big Oxen with a pretty last second move. Needed to move a welding and metal crafts shop with thousands of pounds of tools in short order from Southern Indiana to another state. Nick responded within an hour of my email, and put a quote together with an hour of that. It was a complicated move because a truck could not cross the bridge at the location of the shop, so they used one truck to move the tools toward the bridge, carried them over and then loaded the larger truck. On the other end, there was no room to park a truck close the garage the tools were being moved into - this meant walking them with a dolly or just carrying them by hand 50 yards each way. Nick's team never once complained, but instead had an incredible can do attitude, going the extra mile over and over. All of this, and at an affordable price. We would highly recommend them to anyone needing to hire movers!"

"Big Oxen Moving Company is a great local company for your move. They were very kind and professional during our move and very affordable. I love supporting local businesses and this is definitely one I would move with again and again and again. They had left one of their blankets at my new apartment and I was coming back down to Bloomington to clean my old apartment and I met up with the owner to give back the blanket. He offered to help me with any other moving things I had left but I told him that I was okay. You can tell just working with this company that they want to give the best service possible. I highly recommend this company for your next move."

"I really wanted to support this local business, but our service was awful. Communication leading up to the move was questionable and I never got firm answers on dates and arrival time. They were supposed to clean before we moved in, the day of they called and said the cleaners were sick so the owner would do it himself. He spent 5.25 hrs at my house “cleaning” but it looked hardly touched other than carpets cleaned. The next day they were scheduled to move our furniture. They showed up late and with a tiny box truck, when I clearly stated we had a 3 bedroom house with large items to be moved. At this point we said forget it and sent them home. Maybe we experienced an “off” week for them but I cannot recommend these services. *There was no mention of a family emergency to me at the time. We called another moving service that was able to get us in the next day and the service/communication was night and day."
