"Feb 11,2020 I was excited to try ProClean to have our carpet cleaned and especially when their coupon was offering the whole house for $249. However, like most things- it was too good to be true. When they arrived , the employee looked over the entire house and quoted us three prices : the coupon price of $249 would involve just steaming the carpet but would however not clean the carpet! In fact, it was explained that just doing the steam cleaning could even cause areas of discolorment to our carpet. So in other words- you pay them $249 to basically come and wet your carpet with steam- but not “clean” the carpet. The second price quoted to us was about $485, and for this price they would actually pretreat the carpet with cleaning enzymes- that we were told would actually clean the carpet and make it look really nice ..., the third price quoted to us was almost $800 and guaranteed to make the carpet look “ top notch”. Disappointed in myself for falling for this marketing gimmick- but wanting my carpet cleaned and not just water put on it, we chose the mid range price of $485. The end result was that the carpet looks nicer,. Howevwr, there were some areas that my husband and I felt a second “going over” was definitely warranted for what we were told would be the results and for the price we paid !! We felt our stairs leading to the second floor and some of the main walkways in our home needed touching up. I called the company the next day (Friday) at 4:40 pm, spoke to Ryan , expressed our request- he asked me to call back on Monday after the weekend. I called Monday- spoke to Ryan again, was told “well I don’t have your paperwork in front of me- let me call you back” . Five hours later, no call from Ryan, so I called again, by this time he recognized my phone number and didn’t even pick up. So I leave a message, in a pleasant but strained tone of voice, that it would be so nice to receive a call back. He calls back in 10 minutes and from his response- it was obvious that we were not going to receive good follow up for our carpet cleaning expense. We agreed on a mutual date for them to come back. Well today the company returned. They did not re -clean the stairs as requested. Their reasoning was that we did not pay for pretreatment on the stairs!! We paid more than $200 more than the coupon price- but it did not include pretreatment on the stairs ?!! There was also a short walk way in the family room that they did not re-clean as requested. Basically their employee returned and put water down on our carpet but did not reclean the areas that we requested be redone. This is a family owned business? Really? **** Please replace your &249 coupon and give honest estimates. This quote only gets you into homes and THEN you quote the real price to actually “CLEAN” the carpet. Homeowners deserve credibility. I was really planning on and hoping to give a high review after ProClean came back today ... but I cannot. I’ve spent 15 minutes of my life writing this - but if it helps one person, it is worth it. Do not believe the $249 coupon price - they give MUCH higher quotes when they arrive. We did not receive the quality of clean we were promised for the price we paid and it’s disappointing. All we wanted were a few areas , including the stairs given a second pass. We were not expecting brand new carpet results... but the courtesy of good follow up to areas that were promised would look better. Ryan, you can do better, and should do better for the company. Person to person recommendations between friends and neighbors for businesses such as this go a LONG way. Hopefully this review will spark better quality service and honesty for the future.
