"Beautiful historically important synagogue must see!"
"Visited this congregation on a Saturday morning when there are no visiting hours, but someone in my party really wanted to take a peek as a fellow Jew. A congregant opened the door with a smile, while an older woman was quick behind him to insert that the synagogue was closed. She forced an instant fake smile for 2 seconds leading into a snarl, and slammed the door. While being turned away does not upset me, being turned away in that manner was hurtful. Kindness goes a long way. Please consider placing a sign with visiting hours on the door, and please maintain your safety, practices and policies in a friendly manner. Signed, disappointed Jewish tourist."
"This is such a beautiful synagogue. If I'm not mistaken, it is the third oldest congregation in America. I took an 11am tour that is also scheduled a few more times during the day, and I'm glad I did. I learned a lot about its history and saw a small museum on the 2nd floor that has 2 Torah Scrolls dating back to the 15th century. I highly recommend taking the tour."

"Stopped by for tour. Only person at 10:00. Got a very informative tour. The docent (Jeff) was very friendly and knowledgeable. Took time to explain the detailed and interesting history of the congregation and church. Bought a couple of gifts to take home."
