"The Museum Of Fine Arts (MFA) was worth every cent! What a special surprise birthday gift from my fiance. The John Singer Sargent Exhibit was amazing! His paintings were/are so detailed, so clear as if the portraits of the people posing for his expertise painting session would have reached out or moved. Honestly his paintings are magnificent, just absolutely stunning! Each painting displayed was so large and placed in beautifully carved wooden frames with a plaque of a description. To think just how old each painting was truly set my mind into nostalgic mode. Honestly a will set you back and think before technology. I am still in awe!!! Also, the Cafe was delicious, plus musical entertainment with dancers and amazing Lime Green glass art by Dale Chihuly is next to the courtyard. I seriously didn't want to leave MFA, but we were there for 4 hours and had to move along to other plans. ⭐I highly recommend!"

"There was so much too look at, they have a great collection of all kinds of different art from all over the world dating back thousands of years as well as more modern collections too. I wish I had more time to explore. I really enjoyed the ancient Egypt collections. Will definitely be back."

"Loved my visit! Only had about two hours to spare, but Guest Services was immensely helpful in curating my self-tour to make sure I got to see the highlights and get the most out of my experience. Loved the variety of exhibits, the staff, and the architecture of the museum itself. Will definitely come back the next time I’m in town!"

"This is an absolutely fantastic museum to visit! It really is huge (even a day's not really enough) and is filled with little rooms, corridors, and nooks of artwork. Broadly split into American, European, and Ancient Art (and most other things too- I'd recommend the musical instrument room!), there are maps everywhere as well showing roughly where you are as well as an app too to give you a bit more depth on the artwork. I think everyone has their favourite section- I really like the recreated rooms from lost mansions in the New England area- and they have good examples from major artists such as Monet, Degas, and Copley. They do great exhibitions- the current one is on Sargent and costume and was fantastic! So interesting to see the clothing worn in such famous portraits! There are also a lot of his paintings from private collections too that you may not have seen so worth going to if you're a fan! Not surprisingly, it does get busy but I think it absorbs the numbers well and you can always find a quiet spot away from the crowds. The downstairs Garden Cafeteria is a good spot to get lunch and there's also the atrium restaurant too (this one does get busy, usually a queue!). There's multiple shops dotted around too with an exhibit one, a small one by the entrance and then a larger Main Shop. If you're into books- the main shop is great for them and they're very diverse, not just art!"
