Love Lock Bridge

"They cut off our lock! We went to this about two months ago and had a very cute date were we bought a lock and put it on the bridge, making sure to take pictures and make note of where we placed it. Today when we came back to Savannah we visited the spot where we had placed it and found our lock and many others had been removed, no doubt to make room for more tourists. This is really disappointing and a total betrayal of the symbolic gesture, especially because there are plenty of other bridges with plenty of space for everyone if those organizing it were not so greedy."

"Beautiful old walking bridge. Buy a heart from a local shop and throw the key in the river. Seems like a recent tradition though as most of the locks were new. Makes you wonder if they remove some of the locks over time."

"This is pretty cool.. you purchase a lock from the tourist station on Riverstreet, get it engraved with you and your loves name, and place the lock on the gate. According to the Paris custom you would throw the key into the river to symbolize love locked in forever and no key to unlock that love. Its a nice sentiment."
