"Impressive stately tree! Well worth seeing in person."
"Gorgeous oak tree, crazy to think it took root in the 1700s! It’s located in the SCAD parking lot, right across from Forsyth Park and the fountain there. We stopped by on a Sunday evening and was able to park in the college’s parking lot to snap a few quick pictures. Glad I got to check this off of my must-see list for Georgia."

"The Candler Oak in Savannah, Georgia is a beautiful spot to stop and ponder one's own scale within the cosmic universe. The tree is estimated to have taken root in early 1700, pre-dating most American cities (other than Detroit, New Orleans, New York, St Augustine, etc... but you get the idea). The tree is a short walk from the Forsyth Park and worth checking out after you see the famous fountain therein."
