"We went on a tour today. Even though the weather was bad, the tour was magnificent. We learned about Laura Pope, the original owner of the property. She was an artist and a mother and a patriot. This is a must-not-miss stop for anyone traveling through southern Georgia. The current owner, Michelle, and her family, are so knowledgeable and helpful and obviously proud of this national treasure, abused and hidden for far too long. Great job Dean family, on bringing this place back to life!"
