"After water damage from a tree and eater damage to 3 levels of my house,I was told I’d need a general Contractor for the multiple trade needs in restoration. I was referred to Slay’s and the area rep was helpful and prompt in estimating , but I could not get responses for work to be done through area rep or their area Evansville office,despite many calls and promises. I suspect they can do quality work but communication and follow thru was terrible for me in Newburgh. I ended up firing them as general contractor after 8 weeks with no interior work done. I contracted my own drywaller, l insulation and flooring."

"They were hired to work on our new apartment after our previous apartment was destroyed by the tornado. And somehow while working on our new apartment they flooded the apartment destroying most of my 2 sons things that we had just replaced. The management team acted as if they were going to replace our damaged items and told us how sorry they were. But instead I have haven’t heard anything from them in several months. So now as a single mother I am not able to replace the things we lost and they don’t care. So I highly suggest going with a different company."

"Started a restoration project in July of 2021. One room, three walls that needed some wood replaced, some drywall replaced, painted, and carpet/carpet pad replaced. Manager who gave me the quote said it shouldn't take more than two weeks to complete. It is now February 2022, the room is not completed, and they've gone completely radio silent. They've not billed us (yet) but it's been like pulling teeth to find out if they're coming out to do work. I'm hoping the one room is completed before a year passes, but I'm not holding much hope at this point. They get a star because when they did come out, they did good work."

"Very poor communication. I had to call to ask them to pick up their equipment. I called about payment and they said they had already been paid and then sent us a bill.. because they had not but had no clue!! Never contacted us to actually fix anything. As if a home disaster isn't enough but add a poor restoration company in the mix and it's a true nightmare."
