"Great historic house and very well done improvements. I wish I had pictures of the Before and After because it is amazing! Definitely a jewel in Palmetto. To the person who did the 1 Star Review...... You are walking into someone's Private Home! A family lives there and it is not a museum. You can't do that and especially here in Florida where everyone has firearms to protect their house and property. Lucky they just had a dog! If you would have called the police you would have been arrested for trespassing! You are crazy to be mad at them for entering their property. I guess that you should have the "privilege" to walk into someone's house because they restored it and made it a historical treasure? Terrible perspective and terrible to add it as a review. Maybe it will stop the next person from trespassing lol."
"Apparently this is private property although there is no sign or anything, not even a gate to indicate that. We tried to take some pictures of the trees there but the owner sent out their dog to attack us. Probably should have brought this to police attention..."
"A part of the local, scenic drive. This Queen Anne Victorian residence was built in 1899 and restored in 1996. The house was built for Julius A. Lamb, eldest of 16 children of Samuel Sparks Lamb. S.S. Lamb is recognized as the founder of Palmetto. A few of the house details include twenty major rooms and four fireplaces. A neat piece of history and a short walk from a few good, local restaurants."
