"Great little place to stop and stretch your legs on a road trip. It's very beautiful spot. Great place to take a short hike. For you can just sit and relax and enjoy the view of the beautiful. Of the beautiful Farmland across the street I took the back way at the fork it was very beautiful eventually brings you out connecting again to 41. Beautiful homes with massive acreage."
"A beautiful stop for a day trip. We enjoyed our tour of the home very much. We learned a lot about the house, the Brooksville area, as well as Florida history. The gentleman who gave the tour was extremely knowledgeable and a great storyteller! The house sits at one of the higher points in Florida so there’s a nice outlook in the parking area. Definitely recommend."
"Chinsegut Hill is a lovely hidden gem of history nestled off 41. The grounds are beautiful, well taken care of, and there is plenty to do. You can walk the grounds to learn about the area, history, and home. If you're looking for a break from the heat and wanting to see the inside of the home, you can pay for a guided tour for $5 a person (6 and under free). The tour guides are very knowledgeable about the home and history. It felt like a story unraveled as we progressed through the home. I highly recommend a stop by and look forward to stopping again when it's cooler. There is a hiking trail to the lake, and rental cabins for events."
"A really nice piece of local history for Hernando County. $5 for a 30 minute tour, a free small trail of additional information and more adventurous, self-guided trails."
"Thank you to the team at Chinsegut Hill for a wonderful and insightful experience. Our guide Deborah was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. The story behind this property and its owners is inspirational, as are the efforts being made to preserve their legacy. The grounds are beautiful. Well recommended. Be aware, there are no refreshments available on site, so bring a picnic with you!"
