"Miss clay needs to be in the office more every time I come here with my fiance or call her she never answers and is never in the office! Horrible service!"
"They abused me and my wife, because we were autistic, while we were trying to get out of homelessness. The management should not be allowed to work with human beings and a majority of the staff are abusive towards the homeless because they were all hired through nepotism at $31 an hour (information that was given to me by staff, I didn't ask to know how much you make!) The people who run this facility are monsters and they will lie through their teeth to get what they want."
"I would like to thank Jacquetta Craig ( housing program analyst) for all that you are doing for me, Cynthia Johnson. I thank you for your patience, understanding, & assistance. It is very appreciated. Hopefully, all of our hard work & commitment pays off. I hope you & the housing development staff have an great holiday season."
"I requested retro coverage to cover my baby’s labor and delivery bills on 11/23/19. Caseworker only did that for my child and NOT for me (mom) which my bills run higher and are more expensive. A case automatically closes/hard to make changes after 90 days. I requested retro BEFORE the 90 day mark obviously. She only got back to me when her email generated automatic message saying she was out of the office and the second one was when my case “was moved to the changes dept.” They are so quick to dismiss you on the phone and in person. So it’s January 2020. I been trying on the phone since November & have gone in person as well to be told “the manager isn’t here right now so you can’t speak to a live person regarding your case. Your case is in the changes dept(I called and left 5 messages), and the manager isn’t here at this location(left manager 3 messages) , she’s in another and it’s appointment only.” I have now begged to the board of supervisors if somehow they can help. Oh to top it off, once a case is officially closed, you cannot ask for retro coverage, and I am now stuck with debt on over 10,000. Great job VA. Disgusting. Do not come here. Other counties I hear are not nearly horrific."
"When you move out of the county, completed address change with the DMV and USPS but you never recieved a property tax bill from them. 3 years later (never shows up on my returns during those years), takes taxes from your return; including late fees. If the county can play around with your driving privilege and deny registration renewal, then they have your address and current title records. I dont care about paying the taxes but these tax enforcers are your typical state workers that enforce the chair with an iron bun, lack basic admin work and any form of customer service. This is about professionalism and principles. Would not recommend this county to any future Virginian resident."
