"Beautiful. I wish I could live there!"
"Very cool abandoned mill. Very pretty, especially with the water running underneath it. There is a building beside it that I would not recommend going in, as the floor and roof is severely collapsing. I would also recommend to try to be quiet, as this is located at the end of a neighborhood."
"Amazing excursion into New England textile history! Ruins and well-kept trails and even a place to park! Between 1830 and 1840, the town's population decreased about ten percent. However, Samuel Slater's success at water-powered cotton spinning at Pawtucket in 1790 drew attention to the industrial development potential of the State's rivers and streams, and in the ensuing decades Rhode Island businessmen showed an eagerness to exploit available waterpower sources, even in relatively remote areas that had not been considered particularly favorable for settlement. I would recommend this after you read up on the Oakland Mill so you are better prepared for the ruins."
"This location was incredible! You definitely feel like you in a different world. Must see for ur self. It’s on a dead end street so we got lucky with parking but don’t know how well if a lot of people parked there tbh…. Have fun to who else gets to adventure here but plz don’t ruin it for others it’s very special!"
