"They had a Candlelight Christmas at the Historical Society last night. It’s definitely a hidden gem! It’s well organized. They have several buildings to see. They have a elevator in the main building!!You can expect to be there several hours if you enjoy history. There is a restaurant close by. It will reopen In the spring. They have several events to enjoy throughout the year. You pay by donations! They have steps and gravel paths. They are a non-profit, volunteer based group. Parking surrounds the buildings."
"Enjoyed our quick visit. Didn't have time to go into any buildings. Walked quickly thru a museum, and it had lots of artifacts!"
"This place was recommended by Alex Zurn of Uncharted Lancaster and let me tell you I doesn't disappoint there is so much history in the Conestoga,Manor,Pequea and Millersville area they even have a Conestoga Wagon on display plus several local building on the outside grounds"
"Awesome place to visit for some local history! Lots if cool stuff to check out and tons of people who have mastered their trade and are willing to talk about the way it used to be! Very interesting...I spoke with Bob the wood working man who was cutting dovetail joints by hand and the wood carving man and he explained all his tools and techniques. Also spoke with a couple about how they process flax into linen...very cool to see the way things were done in the 1800's and in some cases hasn't changed too much!"
"Outstanding museum run by a group of volunteers who know their stuff. No digital multimedia exhibits here. Just hours of wandering through exhibits chock full of unique antiques and artifacts. Not to mention the amazing Conestoga wagons which they know everything about. Highly recommended for a day visit or school trip. Truly outstanding. Well worth the trip. Interesting spots to visit nearby,"
