"Courteous, professional, reliable, honest, trustworthy company. I called during the evening over Thanksgiving break which is typically a long holiday weekend with no intentions to hear back until Monday. Ron returned my call in a matter of minutes regarding my furnace not working. He had a service call set up immediately. Upon arriving was able to perform a diagnostic and get parts for repair overnighted from the supplier for install. Ron takes time to explain what he finds and only fixes what is broken or inoperable. I have called on Comfort Mechanical in the past as well and have never been upsold or suggested to make unnecessary purchases, repairs, or replacements. The future service suggestions offered is answering my questions on what he observes that I may need to plan for based on his professional opinion. He is respectful and explains in a way that I can understand. 10/10 will always call for my hvac needs"
"Called about 8 PM, as our furnace was not working. Ron had me try a few things, but it would not come on. In less than 30 minutes he was at our house and had it up and running very quickly. Highly recommend this company."
"We were experiencing problems with our AC in 2018. The unit was running far too long and the supply air was not cold. We called Comfort Mechanical to diagnose. Since I have an engineering background and did my senior project on refrigeration systems, I was fairly certain the system was likely low on refrigerant and had developed a continuous leak. CM's tech came out and performed the superheat/subcool diagnostics and recommended recharging. So far so good. Unfortunately I asked about performing a leak detection and the tech shrugged his shoulders. He said it wasn't needed and the leak was due to an old compressor coil and we needed to replace it at a cost of $4000. Really? You know all that even though you didn't bother to check for leaks in the lineset? I told him we would wait to see what happens. After about one year, the AC was running warm again - exact same symptoms - and we called another HVAC firm. This new firm came out, diagnosed low coolant, showed me the TX sensing bulb was disconnected AND performed a leak detection which immediately showed a leaky recharge valve. They repaired and recharged everything for the same price as CM. And no surprise, we've had 3 years of continual use (AC in the summer, heat pump in the winter). 2022 - everything still running perfectly. So I can't prove the reason for Comfort Mechanical's motivation in not checking for the source of the coolant leak -- but he was sure willing to sell us a new $4000 compressor we didn't need. (and have the proof) Either way, it's not the type of help you'd want"
"Ron was fast in his response time, came on time to the appointment and even worked with me around my toddler’s nap time schedule! He was detailed with what to expect from the duct cleaning and how much to expect to pay. He did the work quickly and thoroughly! He also cleaned up after himself. I was highly impressed with such a great job, well explained, professional, fair price, and super nice guy! Highly recommend!"
"Ron stopped by to perform “preventative maintenance” on my furnace. I’m sure he ran a vacuum for over an hour cleaning out the dust from years of no maintenance (previous home owner didn’t have system serviced). He pulled out the Venturi tubes, tested limit switches, tested vacuum switches, etc. I’m sure he was on-site for nearly 2 hours....and did a very thorough job! He took the time to explain why he was doing each thing. Great service! Great customer service!"
