B's small engine repair

"I hate to do this. Giving them the benefit of the doubt and understanding that things happen, I don't think I've ever given a negative review to a small business. That being said, B's Small Engine Repair has been a bad experience from the beginning. I chose them based on their good reviews here on Google. I dropped off two Snowblowers for repair/tune up. One newer and the other older. They told me I would be contacted before any work began to let me know the estimate. They contacted me after the work was complete and gave me the price I owed. Never called me to make sure I was okay with the price before going forward with the work. Oh well, it is what it is. It's gotta get fixed and their price wsan't that bad. The newer snowblower continued to surge a bit and they said that's just how it is... The older one seemed to run pretty well actually. I was impressed. I gave the newer snowblower to a family member, leaving me with the older one. My choice. I've had the older one for many years and liked the way it ran. After a big snowfall in Valpo I used it and then put it back in the garage. A short time later my wife let me know the garage smelled like fuel. After going in there I saw that all of the gas has leaked out of the snowblower. I called B's two times to figure out a resolution. Both times they said they would call me right back and didn't. With a huge snowstorm on the way I'm stuck at home without a snowblower. The service I received there was a 0/10. It sucks that you can't find honest & dependable service anymore. I guess it's the world we live in."
