"Our bathtub is a jetted tub and I basically did all the things you are not supposed to do- using Epson Salts, pouring bleach in to clean it out and scrubbing the tub with abrasive cleaners. "Blayne installed a Clean-Cut Convertible Tub insert , which essentially converts my tub to a walk in shower, but with the included insert, it can still be used as a bathtub. Blayne was responsive when I told him why I needed this for my 93 Yr old mother. I called on a Monday and he came out that same day, early evening. He looked over the project to see if in fact, it could be done with the space I have in my bathroom, and confirmed that he could do it and Clean-Cut product would work on my tub. He ordered the product and delivered it on Wednesday to begin the project. However, he also noticed that my fiberglass tub was very “spongy” and there were hairline cracks that I was unaware of. He suggested that I should have the tub frothed—that is he drills small holes on the tub surface and injects a special foam into those holes, which gives the tub a strong solid base. Then the holed tub surface is resurfaced with acrylic. (he can better explain the complete process). I DID NOT in the least bit feel pressured from Blayne to do this unexpected work—he just gave me the facts, explained the process and left me to decide. Although this was an unexpected additional expense, I agreed that it would be in my best interest to have this done before the tub’s surface and sub-floor eventually worsened and I would have to tear everything out!!! By Friday, the project was completed—both the foam injection/resurfacing as well as the walk-in conversion. Now, we had to let everything cure. The work was done carefully, precisely, flawlessly, professionally and at a reasonable cost—-thousands LESS than having an unnecessary complete tub-to-shower conversion. Also, Blayne left the work area very clean and neat every time he worked—not just at job completion. Very respectful of my home. Last but not least, Blayne returned on Sunday, to make sure everything was curing as it should and filled the tub with water to ensure the insert was water tight, which it was. I never would have expected a follow-up visit—let alone on a Sunday. Who does that? He does— He’s a demonstrated pro who has good work ethic!! The Art Of Resurfacing, Blayne Cecconi, is the only one I would have do this work for me in the future. I highly recommend him and his company!! I’m extremely satisfied with the results. Thank you. "We hired Blayne to resurface our tub. He came out to provide an estimate prior to doing the project. He was great to deal with. He is tranparent with the estimate, no hidden costs. He explained everything up front. He is punctual. He did a great job taping off the area around the tub to protect the tile surround from over spray. He left the bathroom cleaner than before he started. My wife and I liked is work so much, we hired him to do clean and polish our hallway bathroom. I would highly recommend using this company.
