"My name is Stephanie McBay and my pet is Midnight. Midnight turned 8 years old in June 2023. He picked me, to adopt him from a no kill animal shelter in Tinley Park and Dr. Cecott was his veterinarian. That came an abrupt end on Tuesday, November 21st. He started showing signs of not feeling well on Wednesday the 15th and declined rapidly. We took him to see Dr. Cecott and he had a fever of 105° and never improved. He could no longer eat solid food and could only eat yogurt and pureed chicken. I finally put his misery to an end and everyone on staff made sure he was comfortable and did everything to try and soothe and comfort me while I cried uncontrollably. They were kind and understanding and even sent me a sympathy card. The whole staff is a class act and I cannot thank them enough. I don't know what's killing dogs but it took my best friend. I love you Midnight and miss you and hope to see you again one day."
