"Save yourself a headache and do not hire Mast Services of Lafayette. We hired MSL to do an exterior paint job on a large home. MSL was responsible for replacing all damaged wood/rot as well as power washing, sanding, and fully painting the exterior and all materials associated. It took 2 months from the contract start date before MSL showed up on site. We paid $5,000 toward the project and Casey Mast, the owner, tried to only apply $2500 as well as have us provide materials when they were listed in his quote. That was the first red flag however once onsite, MSL only provided his workers with paint brushes to paint a large (3200sq ft) home and only had 1-2 people on-site for the majority of the project. Some of our major issues are: He filled in rotten wood with spray foam and wood putty instead of replacing wood and they also only applied one coat of paint and he considers it "finished" while the house looks worse than it did before. They also damaged a garage door by propping it up (and it fell out of the tracks) and lied to me saying that the neighbor tried to break in. He also posted photos of projects on my property that he did not complete and stated his company did those projects. Along with all of these issues, MSL also will not tell you that they do not carry Workers Comp and the owner also misclassifies his workers and if someone were to get hurt on your property, they could sue you, the homeowner. Save yourself the stress and get a qualified contractor."
