"I am a cardiac patient and this pharmacy on west 31st street has no value for human life. They will let you die. On Tuesday, I contacted CVS Pharmacy and spoke with someone named Casey. I revealed to Casey that my Entresto (for heart failure) was no longer available at Walgreens. I asked Casey if CVS Pharmacy had it, and was told yes. I immediately called my cardiology clinic at Northwestern Hospital to inform them they could submit the prescription there. My nurse practitioner Grace informed me they spoke with Casey and that the prescription would be available on Wednesday. Not hearing anything, I called CVS Pharmacy to check on the status, and got a very indignant person who did not disclose their name. I was questioned "what prescription are you calling about"? I said there was only one. Then I was told "we are working on it." I then asked what is the name of the prescription, and was told Entresto. At that point, a barrage of questions began. I was asked "what do you want"? I was confused so I asked what do you mean? Then, I was told we have a 30 day supply or a 90 day supply which is not available. Nurse Practitioner Grace put the request in for 90 days on Tuesday, but I am now finding it was not done. I replied 90 days because that is what Northwestern Cardiology ordered. Well, this person said it would not be available until Thursday evening and that if I get the 30 day which is available now, I would not be able to fulfill the 90 day request at the end of 30 days. I told her to put the 90 day in (which should have been done on Tuesday. I told her I only had a couple days remaining of Entresto and will be out by Friday. It didn't seem to matter. I contacted Northwestern Cardiology, Nurse Grace and explained what CVS Pharmacy has put me through and that the person who I spoke with around 2pm on Wednesday was unsupported and condescending. Nurse Grace called CVS Pharmacy and spoke with someone named Kevin. Based upon what transpired with Kevin, it is doubtful that the Entresto 90 day will even be available today, which is Thursday. He gave Nurse Grace a lot of rhetoric (about what I would be paying for a 30 day supply, 60 day supply, which will cost the same as a 90 day supply, etc). He was no better than the person who took my call on Wednesday around 2pm. I am definitely going to report this to a higher level, starting with my insurance company as well as the regulating agency. This is no way to treat cardiac patients, and I have now found that CVS Pharmacy on west 31st street, in Chicago is far worse than all of the Walgreen pharmacy locations in Chicago. This is a medical and pharmaceutical travesty. I will try calling the Pharmacy Manager today to complain, but based upon the type of new service CVS Pharmacy now has working for them, I doubt if this will be any better. Service has changed and deteriorated due to new hires. If you go there, you will SEE and KNOW what I mean. Take your medical and pharmaceutical needs elsewhere, especially if you have life threatening needs, or they may kill you,"

"The pharmacist seemed so reluctant to provide services and they didn’t want to spend time with you to either explain the prescription or the pay. Asked to check my good rx coupon, they didn’t even want to try it for you. Pharmacists get paid decent but I don’t. that money may not a big deal for you, but for me yes and it never hurts to type a code to see if that works. Nasty serving attitude, you all should come to cvs pharmacy in suburb, it’s really different. Anyways will not come back and don’t suggest."
"The pharmacy staff is awesome. I didn’t get the name of the guy that helped me today but he was great. I came in not fully knowing my insurance benefits so I expected to pay $20 for my prescription. Not terrible so I was alright with paying that, but the pharmacist was adamant about checking my insurance. He came back and was like yup you owe $2. I was super happy and really appreciated him checking for me. And while he was doing that there was a few people waiting so the rest of the staff opened up registers for the other patients. Just overall great service!"
"I was very happy with the service provided by CVS clinic care staff. The easiness of the appointment, the checking in, the medication, the professionalism of the entire staff; this was a great experience. The pharmacist took the time to explain the medication, and make sure that I understood. I saw the pharmacy staff actually take their time with each of the customers. The store was organized and well-kept. I highly recommend CVS clinical care."
