"This is a nice quiet place to take a nice walk and check out the river there are nice benches to sit on and picnic tables for a rest or even having a picnic the scenery is so nice. I love just listening to the river and nature."
"A modest trail that is partially paved, but full of beautiful foliage. Even past where the trail turns to gravel, there are picnic tables and areas to access the water. There seem to be multiple branches of the trail to wander off on and explore!"
"Great place to get to the Cahaba. The parking area fills up pretty quickly and unfortunately not all users pay attention and often you can find cars that are blocked in. The path to the Cahaba is concrete, well maintained but quite steep. Not all visitors pay attention to posted signs and you might find a group with a grill at the landing site making it a bit awkward to get a 17' canoe in or out. Before you are looking for a swimming hole or place to put your lawn chair in the Cahaba, check the swim guide that is maintained by the Cahaba Riverkeeper to get an idea about the load of coliform bacteria in the water. Please avoid glass bottles and please leave no trace. The Cahaba is a wonderful, recreational resource, enjoy it but please don't spoil it."
"We’ve gone here for swimming in the Cahaba and hiking. There is off street parking. The walking trail is pretty easy, with a steep grade to get down to the trail from the parking lot and steep trails to get down to the river. The trail doesn’t offer much of a view of the river, mostly of trees and tons of privet. There are a few picnic tables and trash cans."
