"Buried my mother 3 years ago and everytime I go the cemetary is a full of thrash, dead or old flower arrangements blown everywhere. Limbs that just lay forever on the ground. Don't understand why it's so hard to have a clean upcrew on payroll. Once a month mowing and weedeating doesn't get it. Someone needs to be available daily. I will be contacting Dignity in Houston yet once again because the people that are local just dont care at all about the property. We bought lots here because it was perpetual care, which it is not at all. Very very dissappointed."
"Took 4 hours to try to purchase two plots for my parents and told I had to purchase 3. This despite my brother and I repeatedly questioning this with Mrs Lofton. Met the next day with Mr Belvin to correct this overcharge of about $8,000 and told I would receive a check or refund on my card that I did not receive (for 2 weeks) until after calling several times,(no return phone call from Mr Belvin) and finally getting Mr Bishop involved who told me he had to discuss the refund with the office in Houston, with "his boss, and his bosses boss". Ended up not buying the headstone from the Pinecrest office as it was overpriced by about $4000 compared to local price from local company. In short overpriced, incompetent in selling or unethical in practice of trying to sell me three plots for two despite me telling then I did not want 3. And able to charge my card 30K but unable to refund any without multiple calls to bosses boss out of state. Pretty much no one other than Mr Bishop seemed to appreciate how to treat someone without being dismissive and a well that's just how it is and what it costs attitude."
"My dad prepaid for services for himself and my mother years ago at Pine Crest Funeral Home. When he passed recently I called to set up the cremation and memorial services using the document my father left. Not only did they honor the price paid before inflation, they helped us every step of the way before, during and after from a tour to a memory table to the music during service and more. The place itself is beautiful and very cozy. They offer Namen's catering as an add on which we did and they set up. We did not have to do anything but enjoy the experience to celebrate life. They also offer to notify social security and have a very large selection of urns, which we bought two to split ashes. They offer cremation jewelry as well as a fingerprint necklace. I just scratched the surface with my review. I am just happy that my mom has her celebration arranged there. They made the hardest time of my life easier. I cannot thank them enough."
"My grandfather pre-planned his funeral arrangements with Pinecrest when I was a little girl. I remember going to the DIP location with him and my grandmother once. Although I didn't understand it then, I completely understand now. He passed away on Veteran's Day this year and since he and my grandmother had everything planned out AND paid for, all we had to do was bring his clothing and sign a few forms. Frank Lash Sr. chose Pinecrest for a reason and made sure his family would have no issues during one of the hardest times. The entire team at Pinecrest ensured everything was professional, seamless, and comforting from day one. April, Sam, and Kenneth, THANK YOU and God bless!"
"Although newer than some of Mobile's historic cemeteries, Pine Crest is no less beautiful. Wonderfully maintained grounds and landscaping. The mausoleum and chapel features stunning stained glass and bronzework adorning the niches. Very peaceful here. Pine Crest is the final resting place of Dr. Sidney Phillips and Eugene Sledge, two Mobile natives featured in the HBO series "The Pacific." Both men went on after the war to achieve great things."
