"If you are looking for walking trails into the woods, then this place is for you. It is not a park for kids, there is no equipment to play on. It is just walking trails."
"Beautiful hiking trail. It is quite a hike though so wear good shoes and come prepared for a trek. We saw 3 deer, armadillos, and lots of coyote poop. A great adventure for the kids. They will sleep good tonight!"
"Bring insect repellent, the bugs are unreal here, especially the mosquitos! It is straight wilderness with some marshy, swampy wetlands. Sunscreen and a hat recommended. Bring water, it is hotter then h*ll. Saw a few turkeys off in the distance, but thankfully, they did not see us. Also saw a few birds of prey, but other then that, I think all the critters were hiding. People can hunt here, but when we came, it was just us. We only did the main trail, ( the one made by two tire tracks) there are a few different ones, save those for next time. Our dog enjoyed it. Good place to get away, ditch the city and enjoy nature. Wear good hiking/ walking shoes., it is quite the walk."
"I'm grateful to have a place near home to hunt. That being said, the state does nothing to improve this land to promote wildlife. No food plots, etc. Other than clear cutting around 600 acres for the money, it has been woefully neglected. That 600 acres is a virtual impenetrable mass."
"The bad lands of the Delta are no place for a picnic its rugged out there and limited to gas line cell coverage, no bathrooms or benches, easy place to get lost and not found. Mosquitos, spiders and dehydration are the most dangerous things out there. Minimal animals and birds but open to hunting ,beautiful place untouched by civilization"
