Reviews of Marbut's Bend
"Gorgeous spot to take a walk or hike. There is not a lot of shade so it's best to go when the weather is cool and nice. It is all gravel or cat walk so you don't have to worry about getting your shoes dirty. We've been multiple times at different seasons and it's always really pretty!"
"We love the walk by the swamp and elk river. Good place to take bikes, kids, and dogs. Parking lot is kinda small and can fill up fast."
"Unfortunately, as wonderful as this place is, the experience is greatly degraded by some of the loud locals who use the trail like a gym track and scare off the wildlife. When challenged about their disturbing level of noise, they say they live close by, visit every day and have a right to use the area as they please. While I have had some great experiences here, my last two visits have been ruined. The same woman talking loud enough to hear what she saying from far off was the cause. I don't know if I will return."
"This is a beautiful place. The walking trail is immaculate, flat, and paved/boardwalk. I've lived in this area for over a year and had no idea this existed. It has camping areas (primitive only), walking, and bike trails. Hunting is also allowed (per state regulations). This is TVA land so no motorized vehicles, electric vehicles, or alcohol is allowed. It makes a great place to get some cardio in or walk your dogs. No bathrooms onsite. No power. No running water. Lastly, it is not crowded. We go 5 times a week and there are rarely more than 2 other ppl there. Half the time we have it to ourselves. *UPDATE: This place is still amazing. It's constantly being maintained so the paths are clear. There is little to no trash on the grounds. The people that visit there are always courteous and friendly."
"Beautiful walking trail, 2 nice fishing docks with bench seating, nice wooden deck/walkways constructed directly through the wetland portion of Marbut's Bend, which connects to the nice neat walking trail which leads to 2 beautiful fishing docks. Lots of wildlife and also is wheelchair accessible."
