"The park is somewhere to park, there is a bathroom so that is nice. The bridge was hit by a tree and is closed. It makes it a little difficult to get to the trail. If you go past the park and head down to the falls it is a little more difficult, but much more fun. There is a gravel pull off then you cross the road."
"Parking: This is a roadside parking situation where there is not a lot of room, just a couple of cars. If you park on roadside next to dirt road you will find trail across road and down hill. Hike: Hike to the falls is very short but requires traversing down a steep hill. There is a rope tied to some roots that helps a lot. I would just say use caution and take your time getting up and down the hill. Once you get to the bottom of the hill, you will have to cross the creek. There is a man made rock crossing if the water is down, but I think after a good rain they will be under water. Hill and rock crossing is included in one of my pictures. Falls: Waterfall was flowing nicely the day we visited and was very pretty. You can walk along the edge at no more than knee deep to get over to the falls. It is a very nice and peaceful spot."
"It’s nice if you are in the area but don’t go out of your way or plan a day. Definitely do NOT go south down the road. Go north across the street down the tiny trail. You will find a rope to lower down."
"There is absolutely zero trail marks anywhere in Bankhead so that's definitely thumbs down. We were able to find the trail only thanks to reading reviews on Google Maps and guessing that following the creek would lead us there. We parked at Sinsey River parking lot by the bridge, crossed the old bridge and followed the path on the right under the new bridge. It wasn't easy, some parts of the trail are narrow, slippery and you also have to climb on the rocks a little. In the end you need to cross the creek so your shoes might get wet. There might be a shorter trail from the road but we are not sure. Waterfall is beautiful and the trail is very nice too, but being unsure where to go and watching your step all the time spoiled the effect for us."
"Simply gorgeous! Went Feb.2022 and the water was flowing nicely over the falls. Mize Mill Falls trailhead is across the road from small parking area/turnoff road on hwy 60/ Cranal Rd.. We made the mistake of following the dirt road that didn't really go anywhere. Cross the road and the fall is a short 10min hike to get to. Be cautious it is slippery and high edges. Would not recommend taking small kids. There is a rope that can help you climb down in one spot then a few roots lower down to get to the bottom."
