"Design Plumbing is giving small and minority businesses a bad rep. none the less here goes.... Do NOT! I say again- DO NOT- DO NOT, DO NOT use Design Plumbing. I give them negative 5 stars! If you must and they ask you for a deposit- RUN away! They will take your deposit and never do the work. I have first hand experience with them. WARNING- if you have to give a deposit for a $750 job, that should be an indicator... don't trust the persons performing the work. Here's what happen to me. On May 9, 2023 I gave Debray Watson a $375 deposit to do a job for me. To this date (May 28, 2023), he has yet to perform the work or refund all or part of my deposit, despite me giving him multiple opportunities to do so. After numerous calls (which he wouldn't answer) and countless text messages (which he replied, "I will send you the deposit Friday) I ended up taking legal action. If you want proof- reach out to me- I will be more than happy to share my experience. Again, DO NOT use Design Plumbing and under NO circumstances should you give Debray Watson a deposit to start a job. I also contact his business partner Patrick Watson, he has yet to respond to my calls or text messages. Here's a summary of my conversation with Debray Watson of DesignPlumbing. May 9, 2023 You should have it [my deposit via Cashapp]. Tracking you will relocate waterline from old location to new, install install pex pipes in bathroom wall, install new washer box with fixtures, and vent to code. I can meet you at 830 if that works. (Me) May 8, 2023 Yes sir (Debray Watson) May 12, 2023 Hey sorry just now getting this. My truck is down my wheel bearing broke on me today. I'm going to have to get the material delivered but it won't be until Monday. (Debray Watson) May 15, 2023 Pls return the $375. I didn't get my inspection off today as planned. Once i deposit it i will send it over. This serves as your second notice. (Debray Watson) Example notice sent to Debray Watson and or Patrick Watson Mr Debray Wayne Watson: 5616 14th Street South, Bessemer, Alabama 35208 This second notice serves as an official notification that you have 10 calendar days (May 26, 2023) to refund $375.00 to La Fran Marks for services not rendered at 7403 4th Ave south, Birmingham, Alabama 35206. Failure to comply will result in legal action against you, design plumbing, and it's owner(s) i.e. Mr Patrick Watson. If not refunded by the expressed date, the following fees apply: Deposit: $375 Legal fees: $300 Processing/ administration fees: $10 per day there after. You were asked to resolve this matter prior to May 19, 2023 at 4pm. You have failed to do so as of May 22, 2023 (4:22pm). Failure to resolve this matter prior to this Friday May 26, 2023 (5pm) will result in legal actions against against you and the CEO (Mr Patrick Watson) of Design Plumbing"
