"ATTENTION BRIDES AND GROOMS, having gone through the exhaustive process of choosing a venue, I'm going to try and be as thorough and helpful as possible. That said, I could not have had a better wedding reception and we would do it over at McGowan again and again. I tried to pick photos which see different angles of the Hall. Here we go: Size of Venue: Fits 400. We did 360 comfortably; it was about perfect for us, but you could've fit a little more. The room is versatile so that you could do much less and not feel huge gaps of space though. Sound: This was huge for us; we really wanted people to be able to hear speeches and everything with such a big crowd. Extra speakers were an additional $100 (I think), but sound was fantastic, which is hard with such a big group. Kudos on sound. Food: You are allowed to bring in your own caterer and they have a kitchen space for them. Drink: You've got to do McGowan's bar for the drinks, but they have tonsss of options. We opted for unlimited beer and wine, and the price per head was comparable/low to other spots, and they had so many different options I honestly didn't understand how. They've got a really good bar set-up (visible in 1 photo), and we paid a little extra to have a second one across the room as well. Ambiance: Beautiful hardwood, warm lighting which can go low and a general classy feel. I was kinda blown away by how easy it was to make the place look beautiful (white table cloths, white chair covers, and small colorful cloth centerpieces with fake flowers looked awesome). The exterior of the building does not reflect how easy it is to make the Main Hall gorgeous. Bathrooms: Winning: 6 stalls for the ladies, men was plenty (like 2 stalls and 2 urinals). Parking: Perhaps the only downside. There's about 70 spots I believe, and then the rest of people find street parking. There is ample street parking, but just be aware with a big wedding that elders will need priority in the lot. Process and Venue Support: Robert is genuinely kind, service oriented and good at his job. We experienced quick communication, openness to work with us, and experience with the process. This is a professional venue where you receive a professional experience. My personal notes: You may be able to see in the photos a covered area under the balcony. This is a really nice area for mingling that's a little quieter. There is also a really large entryway room which is helpful for flow of the party. If you want a big reception, but don't want to break the bank, this place was phenomenal. Everyone talked about how beautiful the venue was and we couldn't have been happier with it. I feel that the best compliment we can give is that we would do it again there if we could. Call Robert and book it now if it is available."

"I had a tour in this venue with Abby who was very friendly and welcoming . The venue looks classic and beautiful . The grand hall is huge . The venue also has enough parking slots .Those people aren't greedy and won't decieve you with the price . They have pretty straight forward pricing with no hidden costs as many other venues. I actually booked the grand hall but unfortunately had to cancel my booking. The owner seems to be a genuine person . They offered a full refund since it was same day cancellation. I would recommend this venue for anyone planning for a wedding or an event ,Since these people don't put money over their customers satisfaction . I appreciate what they did and looking forward to work with these guys in the future ."

"This is a fantastic venue to host any type of party small or large. I helped my mother host the dinner rehearsal for my brother's wedding and used the event room in the lower level. The room was very comfortable, beautifully lit, and perfect for our group of 40 people. Our caterer brought in the food and we had access to the nearby bar. The game room was perfect to help keep the younger ones entertained. The next day started early decorating the main ballroom for the reception hosting nearly 300. Everything was set up and ready to go for us that morning. James and his staff were there every step of the way to ensure we had everything we needed. The entire weekend went smooth and we had many compliments how nice everything turned out. I would highly recommend using the McGowan Hall for your next event. James and his staff will not disappoint."
