"My friend was told she had to go to the group and was told she wouldn’t have to talk just do the paper work and listen so she went and it was all bad . First the group leader Jodi was rude to a guy in active addiction asking him “ why are you even here” because he was still using . Then she told everyone they had to say what they wrote down and my friend didn’t want to cause she didn’t know she would have to share and the leader was very rude and stated “that’s incorrect you absolutely have to talk to be in this group” so my friend just left not wanting to argue . One on one therapy is good there but the group and the receptionist and are not they could care less about the people who come in and out of there"
"The only person here I actually got ANY effective help from was the damned meds provider, everyone else is either too busy with their personal lives to help you, or too dogmatic. Be aware that they WILL try to use your medication as leverage to make you go to groups you don't actually need, and IN those groups be expected to unpack your entire psyche to explain why you felt the need to have a couple of drinks over the weekend"
"Wow, I thought it was just me.. The receptionists always treat me extremely coldly. I missed an appointment unknowingly; arriving on a wrong day/time. This is maybe my 4th visit. The receptionist acted coldly and waited in silence for me to either go away or ask more questions. I was anxious so I didn't know what to say so for over 3 minutes she just stared down at her keyboard until I finally asked if I could reschedule my missed meeting. It wasn't a problem but it seemed like a burden for her. I find it ironic the staff of a group of therapists require therapy themselves. I don't have truly terrible stories but the other reviews do. I asked for my referral in January and it is currently December and I've had maybe 5 sessions 3 with my 1st guy whom went on Sabbatical and then 2 with his replacement. Zero progress. If i wasn't so depressed I'd care more. Funny but sad but true. If I could go elsewhere I would but it would be yet another year of wasting my time even if I did... Chin up, your mental health is worth everything; don't let the many abusers of the Medicare Mental Health issues keep you down. Read the other reviews :("
"Literally every person in this office, except for one therapist named Lindsey, could care less about your mental health. Let alone you as an actual human being. From the front desk down to the actual therapist themselves make no effort in improving your mental health at all. Lord forbid you be stuck in life or truly caught in a life crisis because the odds of you finding the help you need or looking for here are slim to none. Which is pretty terrible considering that's supposed to be what the whole office specializes in but I guess not. It is like they just show up for the check, as long as we continue to go they still get paid so they could care less what the actual outcome from any session is. I was literally told that I was "too much", that my trauma level had exceeded their training. I was advised to switch therapist and start over. If a litrral mental health clinic can't help with, what I would think to be a decent but not extreme amount of trauma, then where do I go? Because at this point I'm just over it and really don't believe that there is any real help out there. Not to mention, if you are going to go as a last resort, I would suggest bringing earbuds for the waiting room as the crime shows and news channels tend to trigger certain people's trauma even more."
