If you want someone who doesn’t challenge you to push yourself. This is not your guy. If you want someone who sits and nods asking you “and how do you feel about that” or repeating “it just takes time” 100 times a session. This is not your guy. If you want someone who is going to tell you that the problem is everyone else....THIS....IS NOT YOUR GUY!!! If you want someone who possesses the knowledge and skills to crack your code you’ve found him. I’ve been going to Mark for 15 months. The longest I’ve ever seen a counselor and I have been to SEVERAL! Day 1 he started peeling me like an onion. When he told me we were going to rebuild the person I saw in the mirror, I knew I was “home”; so to speak. He’s the only counselor I’ve broken the glass ceiling with. Be prepared to dig up all of your demons and lay them to rest. If you’re wanting to be wrapped in a faux fur blanket and fed warm chocolate chip cookies, I can assure you this couldn’t be further from your place. Mark is prepared and as determined as you are to fight for whatever peace you are searching for. He will help reveal things you’ve never been able to see yourself. Getting to the root of your depression and anxiety, targeting the actual issue rather than just “coping” with being depressed. I recommend everyone I can to him. If you are bound and determined to fight for yourself, being sick of the darkness, this is who you want in your corner, start to finish. He will put in as much as you do. Be prepared to be held accountable for your decisions and to hear the things you NEED to hear. I won’t see any other counselor. He has helped me determine which relationships are healthy and which aren’t. Mark is straight forward and sugar coats nothing. He’s a hard hitter but will help soften the landing as well. You’ll never wonder if he’s on your team or not. The best of the best and couldn’t be further from your traditional counselor. Much respect and appreciation for all he has done for our family."
