"Please proceed with extreme caution when seeing someone at MindFit for medication management. I have had two separate incidents of two different nurse practitioners at this location prescribing the wrong medication within 4 months. My son saw Lori Johnson for medication management for ADHD. At first, she seemed very knowledgeable, and when she initially prescribed a new medication, I was hopeful. However, when I emailed her some follow up questions, she didn’t respond for quite a while and informed me she doesn’t typically check email. She wouldn’t answer my questions unless I scheduled a new appointment, and she often insisted on virtual appointments very close to one another, even if they weren’t necessary. She once emailed me, out of the blue, saying we needed to set up an appointment immediately that day or the next and then failed to respond when I tried to schedule a time for that appointment. She, also, was late to virtual appointments. One day, I received a message from her to call her immediately. I did, and she asked how my son was doing on his most recent meds. I told her it’d been awful, and she then proceeded to tell me that she called in the wrong medication for him the previous week. He was previously on an extended release version of the medication, and she called in an immediate release version. This medication can affect blood pressure, so changes need to be monitored carefully. While my son wasn’t physically harmed from this mistake, he struggled in and got in trouble at school for the first time ever, which definitely did leave a mark on his reputation with his teacher and staff. So he was most certainly harmed by this error. We immediately transferred his care back to his pediatrician. Second, I had seen Leanne Marcotte, who called in a completely different medication for me a week after our first appointment and had no recollection of our discussion about the correct prescription. She apologized and mentioned that she was working two jobs and was extremely tired. Fortunately, I was knowledgeable about the incorrect medication and never picked up the prescription. I did not see Leanne for a second visit. These errors are DANGEROUS. Medication management does not have room for careless error. I would not recommend seeing anyone at this practice for medication management, as it’s a risk not worth taking."

"I had a couple sessions at Mindfit Counseling. I saw Dana Tinkle. The initial session was getting to know my story, what I’ve been dealing with, etc. the other sessions I was seen late and dismissed early. So, about 10-15 minutes was taken off my hour time of a session. Dana did not really know how to go about my sessions or how to help me. Many times it was a lot of sitting there quietly and she would say “hmm I’m just thinking what we should do next…” She had me do some deep breathing exercises and that was about it. Overpriced for what I got out of it. I ended up cancelling my future appointments as I was not given the help or support i needed."
