"I've been seeing Laura Weaver since 2018, she has been nothing but amazing. Regretfully, my work schedule won't allow me to continue care with my hours. I have never seen any counselor or therapist who understood how to help me as well as she has. Everyone I have spoken with in the front office has been kind and accommodating and I would recommend this office to anyone looking for care."
"The front office staff is pleasant and easy to work with but the therapist we saw was not. We saw her twice and both times it seemed like she was trying to create more issues in our relationship. She would try to get us going against each other. Did not listen to boundaries or requests to stop that type of approach. She did not seem to be very trauma informed. She antagonized me many times and when I became upset she talked to my husband like I wasn't there saying "she's outside of her window of tolerance and I don't think we can continue the session". As per boundary issues with inlaws she told me "it doesn't really matter if you're he has your permission to take your child around his family" which was wildly unhelpful. Our family also has chronic health issues and is immunocompromised. The last straw for me was when I discussed how I was upset that family member exposed us to COVID and we ended up catching it. She said "well everybody has COVID". I've been to multiple therapists before and this was the least therapeutic approach and communication I've experienced. Again, even when I asked her to back off and that I felt I was being attacked she did not back off and did not help us as a couple at all. At least now we know what hard boundaries to draw with a couples counselor in the future. Be careful who you see here."
