"I cut my head open and ended up at the ER at Riverview Health. I initially went to IU Methodist since I live downtown and it was a hot mess with a 3 hour + wait time to see a doctor. I’m so glad I went to Riverview Health as I got right in and was able to see a doctor within 5-10 minutes of arriving. They took good care of me during a scary situation and I appreciate their efficiency and quick attention. Super clean place, doctors are knowledgeable & staff is very helpful. If you need immediate attention, Riverview Health ER is the place to go."
"Amazing service! No wait time and the front desk person, the nurse and the PA went above and beyond to accommodate my daughter’s sensory needs. They were all very calm with her. Thanks!"
"It was extremely difficult to give this mixed review. However, I felt it was important. The lady at the front desk was very cold and was not empathetic at all. She was like a non caring robot. The nurse that escorted me back seemed like she was in an extreme hurry to triage to take care of an empty emergency department. Then the doctor comes in and was very arrogant and rude. My insurance allows me to go anywhere I want for medical care. However because of my past experiences I specifically chose Riverview. Rest assured I will not make that mistake again! Yes my visit lasted a whole 20 minutes so in that respect maybe they call that proficiency, however I felt like I was just herded through like cattle or a fast food restaurant trying to beat their time! I’m sorry but I was very dissatisfied! I"
"It pains me to leave a negative review for this facility, as we have had overwhelmingly positive experiences in our interactions over the years. And given that we have 3 young children, there have been many! However, upon receiving our last bill, I’m afraid we will not be visiting again unless it is a true emergency. I recently brought my son, who had a fever and was complaining of a sore throat, in for a strep test. They billed insurance for $629. SIX HUNDRED AND TWENTY NINE DOLLARS for an URGENT CARE (not even emergency room) visit. Also, we didn’t even see a doctor. It was a nurse practitioner. A perfectly capable and very sweet NP, but still an NP nonetheless. I was told the charges for the strep test alone were $341. $341 for a strep test?? Thankfully I only was billed a total of $285 after the insurance adjustment, but that is what I would’ve expected the unadjusted rate to be. I would love to chalk this up to a billing error, and if someone from Riverview would like to contact me to let me know that is, in fact, the case, I will happily correct my review. Sadly, despite the excellent care we have received from Riverview, we will be turning elsewhere for future after-hours needs and will advise the many friends we’ve told about Riverview to do the same."
"I was diagnosed that day with a mild case of pneumonia without a chest X-ray. I understand the 2-hour wait in the waiting room because this was 4 days after Christmas Day. I had no problem with that. The nurse practitioner ordered a chest X-ray to confirm her diagnosis. After waiting 30 minutes, I approached the nurses’ station and asked for confirmation that I was in line for one. I was rudely told that lots of people were waiting and I needed to sit tight until someone came to get me. One hour later, I told my practitioner that I still hadn’t gotten the X-ray. It turned out that the X-ray technician finished her shift 10 minutes before my examination, and no X-ray technician showed up for the next shift. I blame the rude woman in scrubs at the nurses’ station for not checking in with the X-ray technician @ the long wait. I never got the X-ray that was needed to determine if a second prescription was warranted for my condition."
