GMA doesn’t just teach my child physical fitness and taekwondo technique (which they do well), they focus on grit, endurance, confidence, and respect. Not only that, but they show the kids what honor really looks like by holding events to collect for local food pantries and doing a wonderful job being seamlessly inclusive and respectful with their students with special needs. I have clearly seen the difference in my child’s physical ability and attitude in other areas of life since starting at this studio. Mr and Mrs Byrd have a really great teaching style, they are able to relate to the kids, teaching them valuable skills while keeping the mood light and even a little goofy for the younger ones. "We absolutely love this place! I had taken the kids to another Martial Arts gym but it ended up being way too expensive for us. I was completely devastated and I remember calling Geist Martial Arts nearly in tears asking about their rates. They not only comforted me but have VERY affordable rates to where all four of our kids could attend. Once we started, they really worked with my kids (a couple were really nervous) and are always so patient with them!
