"Doctor seems nice enough, friendly staff but fired him and left the office after being told I was too fat to deliver vaginally (while overweight I was not unhealthy nor incapable). He was not supportive of a VBAC and told me up front that he disagreed with my delivery wants and needs and that he didn’t believe anyone in the office would agree with me because I had a history of big babies. Left his office in tears and never returned again. Delivered that baby completely natural, “over due” and at my biggest nearing 10lbs with the help of a supportive vbac doctor in the area. I’ll never forget the way I was treated that day."

"My regular OB is on maternity leave and I saw Dr.Ipema today for my 6 week postpartum checkup. We discussed birth control and surprisingly when I said I wanted my tubes tied (I'm 22 with one child and zero desire for another), he said sure! We discussed the risks and such, but not once did he try to discourage me, which is huge! Due to fear of sedation, I settled for an IUD for now. He placed my IUD and it was essentially painless. Very sociable and professional."

"Dr. Neal Ipema is a fantastic physician. He saw me throughout my whole pregnancy and delivered my baby. He also accepts Medicaid. Although I have state assistance, he and his office never made me feel inadequate or shameful for the insurance I carry. He will go out of his way to make sure you can take advantage of every coverage option offered inside your insurance plan. He also placed my IUD and did a great job. Quick and painless. I would recommend him over and over again. I can't express how great he is. His office and staff are fantastic too! Seriously, choose him as your OB/GYN. You will not regret it!!"
