"To be fair, we didn't have any trouble with their service. They send a text message on weeks with holidays to let us know if the pick-up day is going to change. One time they picked up a box spring I put at the curb and then charged me $20 for it on my next bill. The main problem is the continually rising fees, the fuel surcharge, etc., our bill has increased several times in the last year or two. Cheaper for us to use the county recycling center. So we called and asked about canceling. Customer service was a hassle, and they eventually tried to charge us $30 for picking up their own bin. Based on other reviews, I'm worried they'll end up charging us for something and sending it to a collection agency. Will be very glad not to be dealing with a company like this any more."

"This is a company that when you cancel your service with them (because your tired of their ridiculous price hikes), will make up fake contracts to try and keep taking your money. So you still cancel them, because their full of themselves, then they get on their knees and beg for your business by offering you months of free service and lower prices. Don't fall for it folks, they WILL get that money back out of you. SUPPORT LOCAL BUSINESS. SAVE A HORSE, RIDE A TRASH TRUCK."

"Hours say facility closes at 5pm, gate closed 15 min early because its Friday. No sign, no service, nothing. Looking at the other reviews I see I'm not alone in my frustrations with company that doesn't care too much about paying customers. I guess that's what we get for dealing with a monopoly business."

"I had J&B trash removal for years before republic services acquired J&B. The service level dropped to bottom the day it was switched. First of all, the pickup time becomes unstable. Sometimes, we still have trash out there when we are home for the day. The billing is a mass. I tried to pay the bill online and got error messages after error messages. I tried to call their phone, and the people at their call center was not professional at all. Finally, I switched to another local vendor, and so did most of my neighbors. BTW, they charge you $30 dollars to remove the can if you terminate trash services. All other vendors do not have this charge when you are leaving them. So I have to pay them $30 for them to pick up a J&B can. I called J&B owner to complain, they said they were sorry to sell the business. Avoid this company if you can!"

"Absolutely terrible customer service and worse business practices. Terminated services on Feb 6 and waited until March 15 for the refund to get approved ($80). Then received a bill for $60 to pick up each trash bin and an additional $32.78 in fuel cost, negating my refund. NO doubt they do this on purpose to nickel and dime their customers because they are loosing so many of them. Why am I paying your gas for you to do your job? It is part of the cost of doing business. The fees are already very high, much higher than all of their competitors. Never told about the trash bin pick up fee when I terminated services. Refused to allow customers to drop off bins when they ask to do so."
