"It was November 24, 2023 that I got hired with knight transportation till January 5, 2024 first off I want to say that it was a bad experience of racism and false advertisement of that company telling me that they will pay me $.50-$.60 per mile and for long run I got only $.35 per mile and for a short run, I got only $.38 per mile then the Fleet Manager that I head there because I’m a three-year professional truck driver. He yelled at me and screamed at me over the phone when customers heard the way he was talking to me or interacting with me and told me that with a Fleet Manager like that they don’t want to do business without company and he was yelling at me and screaming me because I didn’t know how to work their computer system tablet that was in the truck so I called the Terminal manager and told him what’s going on so they switched Fleet Manager on me and Fleet Manager , he got fired from doing shady stuff and things in the company and the reason why I can say it was racism it’s because they said that because I am Jewish I don’t need a lot of money because you Jewish people have a lot of money already. That’s what you guys are known for. If anyone knows what can I do, please let me know. Thank you. Tal Horowitz. Lakeland Florida"
"I’m a Swift driver and I went to this terminal to drop off a T call on 09/21/22. I tried using my swift issued badge but unfortunately it doesn’t work at knight’s terminals. I then pressed the intercom button but got no answer. There’s a number posted there for drivers to call in case the intercom isn’t being answered, so I did just that. The guy named Mike answered with a tone as if I was bothering him and why was I dialing his number. His tone got even worse when I told him I was a Swift driver here to drop a load. With a rough tone he told me the number posted is for Knight drivers only and for me to keep pressing the intercom button until someone pick up. I just said “ok will do” and we both hung up. I kept pressing the button with no answer. After about 5 to 6 minutes of being at the gate I decided to call my dispatch looking for an alternative solution. After explaining to my dispatch what transpired she asked me for the number posted that I called so she could see what was going on. She put me on hold and called the number and when she picked me back up the first sentence that came out of her mouth was “ you will not get far anywhere going around cussing people out”. I was shocked and flabbergasted. Me and that Mike guy didn’t even have any type of disagreement over the phone or any type of back and forth for him to go and tell my dispatch I cussed him out. I just told him who I was and why I was there and he told me this number was for knights employees only to which I told him ok and that was it. Mind you no where on the posting did it say only knights employee could call. As a swift driver I have always considered Knights drivers as part of the driving family but after this whole fiasco not anymore. I thought we were one big company under different logos but this day proved otherwise. To make matters worse, even my dispatch couldn’t convince this guy to open the gate. I ended up staying at the gate for about 10 to 11 minutes until this young lady who worked for them that was behind me decided to help and the minute she came over and pressed the button someone answered. I experienced the exact same thing on my way out. Luckily this time I only spent about 5 minutes at the gate thanks to one of their mechanics coming over and letting me out. He himself even said it’s a common occurrence for the calls at the gate to just go unanswered. I got so derailed that I needed to use the restroom but decided to leave without doing so and went to a rest area instead. I don’t care how many miles I’m getting I will not go back to this place. Oh by the way, I did make a complaint with my DL but I wished I could make one directly with Knight instead"
"Nice facility. Shower clean and great. Has gym. Walmart, post office with few miles away."
"I’ve worked here a little over a year now, idk what all the bad reviews are ig they just haven’t been doing the right routes but I’m home mostly everyday and still have a full sleeper for when I have to stay out a couple days, I make a daily rate which is pretty decent considering some days I work/drive less than 6 hrs, staff knows me by name and by my voice. Only complaints are every now and then loads aren’t planned right and sometimes when I’m out it’s hard getting home on time"
