About the Business
The Field Building, located at 135 South La Salle Street in Chicago, Illinois, is a historic art deco office building designated as a Chicago Landmark. Completed in 1934, this 45-story skyscraper was one of the last major office buildings constructed in Chicago before the Great Depression and World War II. Designed by the firm of Graham, Anderson, Probst & White, the building features innovative design elements such as high-speed elevators and air conditioning.
The building's lobby includes a multi-level arcade allowing pedestrians to walk between LaSalle and Clark Streets, as well as integrated design elements that mirror the building's exterior shape. The exterior of the building is clad in polished black granite on the first floor, with windows framed in polished aluminum or monel metal.
The upper stories are sheathed in limestone, with windows grouped vertically to emphasize the building's height. The building rises from a four-story base and features a rectangular tower centered on the base, buttressed by shorter towers at each corner.
Originally occupied by the LaSalle Bank, the building was later sold to Bank of America and renamed the Bank of America Building. The building continues to be a prominent fixture in the Chicago skyline, housing a mix of office space, retail banking, and dining facilities.
In addition to its commercial tenants, the building also housed FM radio station WEFM on the 45th floor, broadcasting classical music from 1940 to 1977. Today, the Field Building stands as a testament to Chicago's architectural heritage and continues to be a vital part of the city's downtown landscape.

Reviews
"The beef was great but they charged me 1 extra dollar over the price on the menu and a service charge. Don't know why"
"Art Deco at its best. Amazing building worth the visit."
"I used to use this building as a walk-through to get to work and I always felt guilty about it since I don't work here BUT now they've added the AmazonGo store and an area for sitting and eating/meeting on the southeast side of the building and I'm here often. It's a good passage way to stop and grab a bite or a cup of coffee on your way to work."
"Wow, Amazon Go store opened here. I liked the building before, with its Art Deco look, but now even better!"
"Been working here for 16 years. This building's foyer is well maintained and well lighted compared to other buildings this old. Many tours come through the building."
