"Scheduled an eye exam for 8/23 at 8:00, exam was confirmed on 8/2, show up this morning only to be told my appointment was cancelled. I did not receive a call, text or email notifying me it was cancelled, and the people working there couldn't give me a reason why it was cancelled. They wanted to treat me like a walk-in, and "try to get me in" after two other appointments. No apologies, no explanation. After I got home I called their central office, and it was the same thing. They can see that the doctor cancelled my appointment, but no notes or reason listed as to why. At least the lady I spoke to over the phone seemed to grasp why I was upset, and she did apologize. This isn't my first time at this location, and usually my experiences have been fine. But after what happened today, I will never set foot in a Dr Tavel office ever again. And if you're reading this and considering them, I strongly suggest you find somewhere else for your eye care."
"Here I sit waiting an hour past my appointment time.The same old story sorry we're understaffed.... is a norm nowadays total time an hour and 55 minutes. And the tech evidently couldn't read my chart and tried to order single vision glasses when I had to correct her to bifocals, hope she read her measuring scale better."
"I needed to get in for an eye exam quickly. I had broken my glasses and needed new ones as soon as possible. They were booked solid. I also had my grandson with me to get an exam. The Dr agreed to see me and my grandson as walk-ins. We only had to wait maybe 30 minutes. I was very pleased with the level of courtesy, kindness and professionalism that we were shown yesterday. I would absolutely recommend this office of Dr Tavel. I will never go anywhere else."
